Elsiem Jewellery
Cambridge based Lorraine Hitt is the designer & creator of this modern jewellery brand. Elsiem Jewellery’s stylised designs are inspired by simple modern architectural & sculptural forms, with an edge.
Designers Biography:-
My jewellery design and construction is heavily influenced by my 30+ year career in the design industry, spanning a few disciplines such as Graphic, 3D Conceptual & Architectural Interior, always mindful of not just the aesthetics but also the functionality & practicality of a design, aiming for the wearer to have the best experience possible.
My work is inspired by my love of modern architecture & sculpture; I naturally adopt a very simple and bold style to my designs. Following my initial metal smith and jewellery making training, fairly recently utilizing my forma CAD skills, I developed my latest collections created from 3D Printed SLS Nylon and adorned some of those designs with handmade/finished metal, uniting modern technology with traditional handcraft skills.
I have won awards for my designs with Goldsmiths Craft & Design Council & ACJ, had my jewellery exhibited in some prestigious venues and work featured in many press publications. I have qualifications in 3D & Interior Design, been trained in metal smith skills and jewellery making. My collections are currently stocked at The Collective - Dublin - Vaessen Walker - Chesham , The British Emporium – Derbyshire, Franny & Filer – Manchester, The Bluecoat Display Centre – Liverpool.
