Kinga Olah
Kinga Olah is a London-based contemporary jewellery artist and designer. Her artistic journey is inspired by the intimate and complex relationship between jewellery and the human body. Her pieces artfully capture the body’s negative spaces, transforming them into exciting, sculptural yet delicate forms of jewellery. The usual order is rearranged; the jewellery doesn't simply adorn the body; instead, the body also serves the jewellery, allowing it to reveal itself and become interpretable through the act of wearing. This creates a true dialogue between them, exposing their deep and delicate relationship.
Her work blends traditional jewellery techniques with innovative processes refined over years of material exploration and experimentation. Her distinctive, time-consuming method involves reconstructing crushed stones into layered compositions, creating an extraordinary surface texture.
Firmly believing in environmental and social contribution, Kinga’s dedication to sustainability is reflected in her choice of materials—crafting her pieces from recycled gold and silver. She often goes even further by repurposing damaged gemstones, giving them new life and purpose.
Kinga is not only a member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery, but she is also part of Handmade in Britain and the Precious Collective. She is an award-winning artist, and her work has been showcased in prestigious exhibitions and galleries, where she has gained significant recognition.
