Clare Maiden
After a long career in marketing and communications, Clare graduated from the School of Jewellery, Birmingham City University in 2024 with BA. Hons. (First class) Jewellery and Silversmithing Design for Industry, and in 2023 with HND (Distinction) Jewellery and Silversmithing
Since graduating Clare has launched Clare Maiden Jewellery, selling through her website www.claremaiden.com and selected independent galleries across the UK.
She creates fine and demi-fine jewellery from her studio in south-west Cornwall, drawing inspiration from the rugged beauty of the Cornish coast and its rich cultural heritage.
Her designs are steeped in meaning and female empowerment, with many of her collections using the sea and weather as metaphors for how we navigate the challenges and experiences of life.
Clare uses a blend of traditional and modern techniques, including hand forging, wax carving and CAD.
