FIONA KERR JEWELLERY
Jeweller Fiona Kerr combines iridescent black pearls, strings of tiny garnets, moonstone and topaz with precious metals to stunning effect. The primary themes of her work are light, colour and movement. In many of her pieces there is a discreet kinetic element – perhaps a gently sliding jewel – which significantly adds to the wearer’s enjoyment. Nature and geometry are key sources of influence. She says: “I am fascinated how natural things, which at first appear to be chaotic are organised and full of structure.”
Fiona gained a BA Honours degree in Three-dimensional Design (Silver and Metal) from Buckinghamshire Chiltern University College and continued her specialist training in stone setting and gemmology. Following extensive jewellery workshop experience, she set up her own business in 2002.
Fiona has consistently shown her work through exhibitions and galleries in Northern Ireland, England and further a field. She is a member of The British Jewellers Association, and the Association of Contemporary Jewellers
She works to commission from private individuals and sells through high profile craft fairs and selected retail outlets.
