Abby is a contemporary fashion jewellery designer–maker, creating playful, feminine, and distinctive handcrafted pieces. Working with silver, gold, precious gemstones, and printed aluminium, her designs combine quality materials with a bold, modern aesthetic.
Abby’s inspiration draws on a love of the vibrant, expressive design of the 1960s, alongside cherished childhood memories of growing up in the picturesque surroundings of Summerseat, Lancashire. This blend of colour, nostalgia, and place continues to shape her creative approach.
After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2006, Abby established her own brand, Abby Filer Jewellery. She also co-founded Franny & Filer, a jewellery shop in Chorlton, which I opened in 2009 with fellow jeweller Frances Stunt.
