Amanda Gomez

Amanda Gomez is the founder of Alahera and a trained gemmologist whose practice is informed by a life lived across Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Her nomadic upbringing fostered a sensitivity to diverse cultures and material languages, which continues to shape her contemporary jewellery.
Grounded in gemmological expertise yet questioning traditional notions of preciousness, Amanda looks beyond conventional gemstones to explore organic materials, symbolic forms, and objects embedded with memory. Her work challenges established hierarchies of value, creating pieces that act as personal talismans and carriers of narrative.
