Rosie Wesley is a graduate from the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham with a BA (Hons) in Metalwork. She lives and works in the New Forest and has a studio at the back of her gallery Chalk's on Lymington High Street

With a focus on texture and form, Rosie’s sculptural works are individual, site-responsive pieces to locations within the New Forest, where she grew up.

Rosie works with direct burn-out casting techniques to produce replica textures of bark which she combines with components based on the landscape’s negative spaces. Markings and drawings on the pieces reflect her personal interactions with the space.
Rosie grew up in the New Forest, and has always had a love for natural spaces. Having studied art and design throughout the whole of her education, and achieving a First Class BA (Hons) in Metalwork from the University for the Creative Arts, Rosie she now returned to live in the New Forest and is working from her studio space which is in the back room of her gallery Chalk's on Lymington high street.

Whilst still studying for her degree, Rosie was shortlisted for The New Ashgate Gallery’s Rising Stars Award and selected as winner of The Goldsmith’s Company Silver Bullion Grant. Since graduating in June 2017, Rosie has made appearances at New Designers One Year On, Handmade at Kew, Goldsmith's Centre exhibition 'Shine', MADE Brighton, Country Living Fair London, New Forest Show, Handmade Oxford, and Farnham's Festival of Crafts.
