Catch a glimpse of our creative future at New Designers with more than 3,000 of the brightest and most radical new creative minds under one roof to launch the next generation of thinkers, makers and disruptors onto the UK design scen

Opening on Wednesday 27 June, the exhibition is a two-week celebration of visionary design that sees students from 200+ creative courses unveiling never-before-seen work to thousands of industry professionals and design lovers.

‘One Year In’, a curated exhibition within New Designers is also set to unveil 100 names selected as the most promising designers and studios that have recently launched as a business. In the largest line-up the exhibition has seen to date, 22 jewellery artists and designers among them will present original pieces to browse and buy. Key themes emerging this year include a focus on ‘spaces’ and ‘places’ – with materials, shapes and processes being drawn from architecture and minerals. Highlights include Cate Martin’s complex cubic structures which are inspired by the unusual shapes found in the semi-precious stone Pyrite; Hayley Grafflin Jewellery’s reflection of the hidden beauty within gritty urban landscapes, and Dominika Kupcova Jewellery’s echoing of the aesthetics of DNA and its unique linear patterns.

Also front of mind for this rising generation of jewellers is the convergence of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary processes and new materials, such as that seen in the work of COCO.G who combines embroidery and enamel techniques to create a playful and organic feel to her work.
