Carly Hitchens Jewellery
Carly trained at Truro College (2011 -2014) and has recently completed her MA in Jewellery at Arts University Plymouth (2021). Trained initially working in precious metals, Carly’s work has changed overtime and she is now focused on using digital tools and 3D printing as part of her practise.
Inspired by the molecular structures in crystals, she translates the mathematical formulas and geometric forms of the crystal into her designs. Carly is able to create unique, wearable and functional jewellery. Each piece is hand dyed and the colours represent the crystal that was the main inspiration for that particular collection of jewellery. Precious metals are incorporated in the final pieces, bringing together the two main elements that is key to her work.
Digital technology has become an integral part of her work and Carly is excited to see where this journey will take her. She also works on commission and you can find her work on etsy.com or via her website.
