Cathy McCarthy is a jewellery designer/maker based in Hampshire. She has been creating beautifully hand-crafted jewellery for over 20 years and enjoys working on both her ready-to-wear ranges and unique customer commissions.

Cathy’s inspiration comes from her love of wild gardens, summer meadows and forest walks. Her designs capture an essence of nature and a sense of calm. She works with recycled Sterling silver and 18k gold. Her style combines simplified natural shapes with eye catching texture and detail.

Cathy completed a HND in 3D design at Portsmouth University. During her HND studies Cathy developed a passion for jewellery making. After a move to Edinburgh she went on to undertake a National Certificate in Jewellery making & Silversmithing and was awarded the “Steven Betts Jewellery Award” for her achievements during her studies.

Cathy’s work is included in the book “Narrative Jewelry - Tales from the toolbox” by Mark Fenn.
